1. Stonington, CT

Distance from Philadelphia: 4 hours

Where to stay: Inn at Stonington

2. Lewes, DE

4. Cape May, NJ

Distance from Philadelphia: 1 hour 30 minutes

Park your car and forget it. It’s only a five-minute stroll along the Cape May’s historic streets to get to the beach, boutique shopping and great restaurants.
